Moving from CozZo to Chive
CozZo closed down at the end of 2025, and if you ran your kitchen on it, that isn't a small thing: your Spaces, your quantities, your use-within dates were a system you built and trusted. You shouldn't have to start that from zero. If you saved a CSV export before the lights went out, Chive reads it and your kitchen comes with you.
Your export file is enough
CozZo could export inventory to a CSV file from the At Home view or from any Space (select the items, then Export from the ••• menu). If you did that before the service ended, that file — or those files, if you exported Space by Space — holds your items, quantities, and dates. Chive's importer takes it from there: drop the file in, and it matches the columns automatically, shows you a preview where you can adjust anything it guessed wrong, and lets you map each CozZo Space to a Chive storage zone before a single item is added. If you have one file per Space, import them one after another; each goes to the right zone.

No export? Then the honest answer is that the data is gone — CozZo's cloud is off and nothing can read it back. But rebuilding in Chive is not the data-entry project it was in 2016-era apps: scan a receipt, point the camera at your groceries, or read items out loud, and the pantry fills itself in with estimated dates. Most kitchens are re-stocked in one session.
What stays current without you
You already make a grocery list. In Chive, that list is the maintenance: check items off while you shop, tap Done Shopping, and everything lands in the right zone with an estimated best-before date. Receipts, barcodes, a photo of the counter, or voice all feed the same pantry. Recipes are checked against what you actually have, dinner suggestions start from what's expiring soonest, and when you run low, the list refills itself. The part that used to rest on your discipline is the part Chive automates.

What Chive doesn't do
Chive runs on iPhone and the web; there's no Android app yet. It can't recover data you didn't export from CozZo. Best-before dates on unlabeled items are estimates you can adjust, not readings. And your data stays portable here: Chive exports your inventory to CSV, free, on every plan — switching apps should never cost you your kitchen twice.
